I’ve been keeping up with the upcoming CBS All Access series “Star Trek: Picard” from the time when we got the first trailer so many months ago and now that we are just about two weeks out from the shows premiere on that streaming service, I figured it might be fun to share a number of the promotional posters that I found online via the IMDB website. Before we begin, please make sure you caught the trailer by clicking HERE and then we can continue along. I will begin with what amounted to the first teaser poster and then continue along before closing up with the Official Main poster for the show. Let’s go.
The Premise: The series is set 20 years after Jean-Luc Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), and finds the character deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus as depicted in the film Star Trek (2009).
Nice stuff for sure as you can see and while the above was originally my ALMOST done visual, once the show began to stream I noticed more visuals on IMDB that I am sharing with you now down below. One of the glories of WordPress is the means to do some post-editorial notations on items like this one. Thinking back on the above posters, I was originally confused at how they stated “An Amazon Original” but I guess that for those who use Amazon Prime somewhere in the world that they have access to more things like this. That makes sense since I know their Netflix is different from ours as well.
Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard
Santiago Cabrera as Cristobal “Chris” Rios
Michelle Hurd as Rafaella “Raffi” Musiker
Evan Evagora as Elnor
Alison Pill as Agnes Jurati
Harry Treadaway as Narek
Isa Briones as Dahj and Soji Asha
Brent Spiner as Data
Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine
Jonathan Del Arco as Hugh
Jonathan Frakes as William Riker
Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi
PiercingMetal Thoughts: As a rule, I don’t generally comment on the promotional posters and I really only share these kinds of posts when they offer up at least a half dozen images. As stated above these do look nice but I am not currently a subscriber to CBS All Access or Amazon Prime so I will likely be missing the action. Truth be told, I am of the mindset that there are too many streaming services to keep up with on top of ones main cable subscription bill and something is going to need to give. I’ll get off the soapbox now and let you continue on with your day. So far the year has started off with a zeal that I didn’t really expect. I can hardly wait to see what else it has in store for us all. Bring it on I say. Remember to subscribe to CBS All Access by 1/23 to get the show when it begins. It will air episodically, meaning week by week and I believe there are 10 episodes in all. See you next time.
