The insidious forces behind the Beyond The Gates festival have firmed up the full lineup for this years event that will take place in a faraway land from where we are stationed. Brave a look, if you dare…..
The Press Release:
So this is it – the full line-up for Beyond the Gates 2019 in all its glory. And what a festival it’s going to be. The final piece of the puzzle is something of a treat. Abbath has just announced the follow up to his 2015 debut, entitled “Outstrider”. The album is due on July the 5th and the Beyond the Gates audience will be treated to a spectacular and exclusive homecoming show on the final day of the festival.
We are also pleased to announce the addition of German/Turkish black metal outfit Imha Tarikat. If you haven’t checked out their debut album “Kara Ihlas” yet, please do. Haunting and atmospheric black metal doesn’t get any better than this. Imha Tarikat will join Ritual Death and Watain for the very special Wednesday show taking place at Hulen.
In addition to all of the above we have partnered with Kvarteret for a few exclusive club concerts. Nidrosian black metal band Misotheist released their self-titled debut album to high acclaim last year and has turned heads all over the world with this amazing effort. Now they have agreed to do their first live appearance ever at this years Beyond the Gates festival and we’re absolutely elated.
Fusa thrashers Inculter will release their second album, “Fatal Visions”, this month and we can’t wait to hear what they have in store for us. Easily one of the best “old school” thrash bands around. Not to mention – one of the best live bands this genre has to offer. Let’s do this then, shall we? Full line-up below:

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I glance over the list of performers, I think of those hot days in August where one craves the cooler climates and what better a place to head to during this time than Bergen, Norway. To say that this will be one HELL of a Festival is an understatement based on the likes of Watain, Mayhem, Marduk, Emperor and Abbath on the headlining or close to the main spot. It’s doubtful that I will logistically be able to attend but it would be an experience for sure. What do you readers who tread along this darker path of Metal music think?
