By now I’m hoping you have seen the trailer for the upcoming 20th Century Fox film that continues the X-Men franchise with “X-Men: Apocalypse” and if not just click HERE so you are all caught up. Recently, they’ve released what are called the “character” posters and since this film brings back some characters along with some brand new ones I wanted to share these posters with you. In the event you are not 100% up on this franchise I made sure to add who each character is be they villain of hero. At the close I added the premise and partial casting as well. Here we go.

The Premise:
Since ancient times, the first and most powerful mutant, En Sabah Nur, also known as “Apocalypse”—immortal and invincible—has been worshipped as a god. But when Apocalypse awakens from a hibernation of thousands of years, he is disgusted to find out what the world has come to and decides to change it. He recruits four followers, Ororo Munroe / Storm (“Famine”), Warren Worthington III / Archangel (“Death”), Elizabeth Braddock / Psylocke (“Pestilence”) and Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto (“War”), to help him with this task of destroying humanity and building a better world, led by him, from the ruins. Now, Raven / Mystique and Charles Xavier lead a team of young X-Men to face Apocalypse and defeat him. (thanks Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Just a quick thought on the images and I think they look pretty sweet and I guess that I feel this way because we are getting a whole new bunch of characters. I love when these universes expand and I might have disclosed this when “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” came out but maybe not. Please remember that the X-Men galaxy of players are NOT in the Marvel Studios stable of films and instead remain under the control of 20th Century Fox. Fortunately, they seem to be doing better with this property than they have managed to do with “Fantastic Four” which I still haven’t seen but based on the collective friends who have seen it this is not a bad thing at all. I don’t think we shall see Fox surrendering this property back to Marvel anytime soon based on the reception that “Deadpool” got but it would be nice. Alright that is all for now, and its back to the Metal and comic things. See you next time.
