It wasn’t long ago that the Farmer’s Almanac started lining out its predictions for the Winter of 2015 and according to their analysts, we citizens of these United States East Coast faction can anticipate a teeth chatteringly cold winter that will span numerous cities. They said expect it to be colder than what we experienced in 2014 and that we should think of ourselves as a “refriger-nation”. Then the mighty Behemoth announced a tour that finds them joining forces with Cannibal Corpse and this event will melt even the thickest ice and snow and bring Hell just a little bit closer to the surface. Check out the poster and the official Press Copy from the Metal Blade Records page.
Press Copy:
Two of the most prominent bands in the history of death metal are teaming up to take North America in 2015! Cannibal Corpse and BEHEMOTH! will join forces beginning on January 28th in New Orleans, LA at the House of Blues. Both bands are touring in support of their most recent and massively successful albums. Cannibal Corpse released their thirteenth album, “A Skeletal Domain,” on September 16th and debuted at #32 on the Billboard Top 200. Behemoth’s critically-applauded tenth album, “The Satanist,” entered the Billboard Top 200 at #34 after its release on February 4th of this year. Combining both bands’ headlining sets into one touring package promises to make this the must see metal tour of 2015. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I think I have seen Behemoth about ten times since starting my music journalist adventures but oddly enough have never before seen the devastating Cannibal Corpse. That being said, this touring package raises my levels of concert going intensity. I also love how our area date is happening at Webster Hall, a long established music venue that seems to be securing a LOT of the great Metal tours these days. A welcome sight with the absence of Roseland Ballroom. Now considering how almost every fan in the Metal Republic that I see around me has some kind of tablet or smart phone I am hoping that they have already locked their regional date for this killer tour into their schedule and are planning on attending. Winter just got a whole lot hotter and just a tad more dangerous to boo. So tell me Legions, will you be hitting this event or are you anticipating something else entirely. Let me know in the comments. Also you can keep up with any announcements about this exciting tour via the bands official websites which are linked below. They will lead you to their respective social mediums as well if those interest you.
