Wow, talk about a team-up of epic Metal proportions. This is surely some exciting news as Arch Enemy and Trivium will share the stages of North America this fall and decimate for sure. The full press release, poster and dates are below but don’t worry I will return with some closing editorial notes. That’s how we roll over here after all.

The Press Release:
ARCH ENEMY and TRIVIUM are excited to announce plans for a co-headlining tour across North America later this Fall. Featuring support from English metalcore outfit While She Sleeps and New Jersey deathcore act Fit For An Autopsy, the tour will kick off on October 27 in Orlando, FL and make its way across the U.S. and Canada before finishing on December 6 in Houston, TX.

Founding ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott exclaimed, “Very much looking forward to returning to North America with this tour! We are aware that it has been long overdue and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we’ve been creating our new “Will To Power” album. This run will be like a family reunion with our old friends in Trivium; together we’ll be crushing city after city with the power of Heavy Metal! Good times ahead, don’t miss the fun!”

TRIVIUM further stated, “We’ve been joining forces with Arch Enemy for over a decade now. From Ozzfest 2005, through arenas across the U.K., Europe, and Australia on The Black Crusade. This next chapter is going to be one for the ages: Trivium, Arch Enemy, While She Sleeps, and Fit for an Autopsy!! DO NOT MISS THIS!!”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I might sound like I am repeating myself with this statement, I am most certain that this tour is going to be a good one. Arch Enemy are seasoned pros at the game and now with Alissa fully entrenched in the role of their lead singer are making new fans worldwide every single day. I love the game that she brings to the table with the band and I’ve seen them in concert for years and can honestly say how impressive she is at this bands legacy and brand-new material. If you’ve decided to drop the band because Angela is no longer a part of the touring group, then you are cheating yourself out of good Metal and that is indeed a shame but what can you do. Now let’s get to the Trivium side of the fence. I remember the first time that I ever saw them and I think it was back when they opened up for Danzig way, way, wayyyyy back in the day. Okay so I remember but am a little foggy because I am talking about a super long time ago my friends but I digress. Simply put I have never witnessed a bad Trivium show. They are one of those Metal groups that comes out with their Ace in the sleeve and deliver at maximum overdrive for their fans. I’ve seen them quite a few times over the years since that first go-round and its always impressed me. In looking at the lead off bands, I haven’t seen While She Sleeps ever but did catch FFAA a couple of times and they will really start your night off properly. If you plan on hitting any of these show dates I implore you to PLEASE support the lead in bands because they need your Metal attention and love. Get there early enough to see their sets and if you don’t like what you hear then go get a drink or something from the merchandise table. Getting their early lets you maximize your ticket dollar price and there is never anything wrong with that. Okay, I am going to get off my soapbox now and ask what you think of this touring package and if you will be hitting any of the shows. You can let me know down in the comments section below.
