Andy Black Announces “The Homecoming Tour” For Summer 2016

Tour - Andy Black - Homecoming Tour 2016

The Scoop:
Andy Biersack is a musician of many talents and for several years he had led the charge as the front man for the dynamic Metal band the Black Veil Brides. He recently completed his first-ever solo album and now it’s time for his worldwide fan to see him in a completely different light under the moniker Andy Black. The album is entitled “The Shadow Side” and will come care of Lava Records on May 6th. The first single “We Don’t Have To Dance” will drop in a couple of days so stay tuned to your favorite streaming service or legal download store for that one. According to Black (who I will be referring to like this in these narratives), the sound on “The Shadow Side” is more akin to a Gothic Springsteen. They are poppy, fun and rocking songs that call back to the 80’s in some sense. I’m paraphrasing his words from some recently read interviews that I am recalling. Joining Black on the tour will be alt-electro duo COLOURS who recently made their debut appearance on multiple Billboard charts with their first full length album “Ivory”. So it is probably worth getting to the shows nice and early for not only a good spot but to see what they are all about as well.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m a fan of what Andy does in the Black Veil Brides but as he’s stated across a myriad of sites already, this project is not what that band sounds like so it should be surely interesting to see how the full album sounds and how the tour is received in the live sense. Given his popularity among the youth of Rock America I am hard pressed to think that shows will be anything less than sold out. My hope is to catch the tour when it stops at my areas Highline Ballroom. What do you readers think about this tour announcement? Is it something that you will attend?
