AMC’s “Fear The Walking Dead” S4B Official Trailer: SDCC 2018

Comic Con International: San Diego (aka SDCC) is in its second day and that means the trailers are going to be picking up some serious steam which also means I will be dishing out as much as I possibly can. I’ve already shared the DC Universe streaming service trailer for “Titans” and now its onto the small screen as we get a glimpse at what is in store for the folks running from the rapidly growing zombie apocalypse in “Fear The Walking Dead”. Before the first half of the season, I noted how this former prequel show was now a bit of a companion series since they are getting closer to being connected than they ever were before. Let’s take a look at what was presented at the Con. I’ve also shared the premise and some casting from other posts.

The Premise: Set initially in Los Angeles, California and then later in Mexico, the series follows a dysfunctional, blended family composed of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark, her English teacher fiancé Travis Manawa, her daughter Alicia, her drug addict son Nick, Travis’s son from a previous marriage, Chris, Chris’s mother Liza Ortiz, and others who join their group at the onset of the apocalypse. They must reinvent themselves, learning new skills and adopting new attitudes in order to survive as civilization collapses around them.

Cast and Characters:
Kim Dickens as Madison Clark
Cliff Curtis as Travis Manawa
Frank Dillane as Nick Clark
Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia Clark
Colman Domingo as Victor Strand
Mercedes Mason as Ofelia Salazar
Danay García as Luciana Galvez
Daniel Sharman as Troy Otto
Sam Underwood as Jake Otto
Dayton Callie as Jeremiah Otto
Rubén Blades as Daniel Salazar
Lisandra Tena as Lola Guerrero
Michael Greyeyes as Qaletaqa Walker
Justin Rain as Lee “Crazy Dog”
Karen Bethzabe as Elena Reyes
Ramses Jimenez as Hector Reyes

Michael William Freeman as Blake Sarno
Jason Manuel Olazabal as Dante Esquivel
Linda Gehringer as Christine
Jesse Borrego as Efrain Morales
Edwina Findley as Diana
Ray McKinnon as Proctor John

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Since I am quite a few episodes behind, I didn’t even watch this trailer because I don’t want to risk any other spoilers. I recently mentioned to a friend that I was again watching the show from where I left off so long ago (as I’ve grown so bored with “The Walking Dead”) and without a hesitation they said “well, lets see how the show goes without so and so” who had apparently met their demise in one of the episodes that I had not yet seen. Sigh. Such is life in the fandom of TWD and FTWD, everyone assumes that everyone else is 100% up to date on the shows. Guess what people! We aren’t. So “sigh” again. I am not too mad since I pretty much expect everyone to die in this and the companion series but I like to watch it happening with my own eyes and then discussing. I will again stress that if you are someone like me who gave up on the program to give it another chance as its turned out to be a pretty solid viewing experience. Did you like the trailer for the second half of the fourth season? Are you still watching or watching once again? Chime in below but please dear friends. NO SPOILING.
