The AMC Original series based on the DC Comics Vertigo title “Preacher” has been given a third season and the trailer for what is to come has been revealed. I am half and half on the series based on a number of reasons but I digress. Let’s take a look at the trailer down below along with some casting.

The Premise: “Preacher” is an adaptation of the intense comic book series that was done by Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis. It ran as a part of the DC Comics Vertigo imprint for “75” total issues. The show does NOT follow the general canon of the printed page.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m not that crazy about the show but I’ve alluded to that in previous posts. I do like one or two points that it has and some of the characters are well cast but the show itself veers too far from the source material. I’ve got it programmed on the DVR to keep up but part of me wonders if this will be the final season since a lot of the “Preacher” fans I know are not really hip to it.
