Amaranthe & Butcher Babies Team Up For Fall 2015 “Massive Collision” Tour

I’ve enjoyed the music of Amaranthe for a couple of years now and was happy to see the announcement about their Fall 2015 Tour even though I had only seen them a few months ago at the Gramercy Theatre. Check out the brief press release that I received and the tour poster and then we can chat a little more about it.

Tour - Amaranthe - Fall 2015

The Press Release:
AMARANTHE to Return to North America This Fall – Butcher Babies Provide Direct Support
(New York, N.Y): AMARANTHE will make their triumphant return to North America this fall for a headline tour. This marks the second time the band has toured through the U.S. and Canada in 2015, when they headlined alongside their labelmates in Santa Cruz. On this run, fans will enjoy the full AMARANTHE experience, as it is their headline run. The tour starts October 29 in Atlanta and runs through November 29 in San Jose. Butcher Babies will provide direct support. Lullwater will open the show. Tickets go on sale tomorrow Friday, September 4. Since the October 2014 release of MASSIVE ADDICTIVE, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, AMARANTHE have gained steady momentum, with the addictively catchy single “Drop Dead Cynical” enjoying an exciting wave of success, garnering major spins at SiriusXM’s Octane and currently climbing the Active Rock radio charts. The video for their second single “Digital World” is making its way toward 1 million views! Check out this futuristic masterpiece here.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I mentioned just above it was only a few short months ago when Amaranthe played over at the Gramercy Theatre with the all too exciting Santa Cruz from Finland and the band I Prevail. It was a solid night of sound from the Spinefarm Records groups but honestly many felt that I Prevail was not a proper fit with their brand of Rap Metal on that particular tour run. I admit that even I am still not 100% too keen on that style at this point but overall it was a great experience and many fans left the venue singing. The latest offering from Elize and Company is an exciting listen and their shows are loaded with powerful and positive musical energy that one feels for days after the show. That being said there is the frenetic experience that is the Butcher Babies in concert. They are surely an electrifying group and one that knows how to rouse you off your seats and get those lungs creaming for more Metal. Lullwater is the lead off band and are a solid group that I have enjoyed in concert in the past and there is totally different aural vibe from their side of the musical fence. I’m going to enjoy seeing all three of these bands perform at The Marlin Room at Webster Hall for the very first time and I think its long stage will suit everyone just fine. It’s safe to say that the Metal Legions of our own Metropolis will have a great time but what do the rest of you think about this particular tour. Does it interest you are will you be waiting on something else since this is Amaranthe’s second time here this year. Let me know in the comments below. Until next time.
