As the year makes its steady draw to an end the plans for the brand new one begin to manifest and that means a lot of the tours at the dawn of 2017 are being announced. This one outlines the plans for the wonderful sounds of Amaranthe. Check it out below the poster and then I’ll return with some thoughts.

The Press Release:
AMARANTHE TO TOUR THE U.S. in 2017 – NEW ALBUM MAXIMALISM OUT NOW

Amaranthe are finally bringing Maximalism to North America. The band has just announced a U.S. headline tour for 2017, with support from Failure Anthem, Citizen Zero, Cypher 16, and Smash Into Pieces. The tour is the band’s first in support of its latest glorious opus, Maximalism, which came out in October via Spinefarm Records and featured the unforgettable, fist-pumping anthem “That Song.” Listen to it here.

Of the upcoming U.S. trek, guitarist Olof Mörck said, “It is with great excitement that we can now confirm the next leg of our MAXIMALISM World Tour: North America! A year has passed since our last visit and we have been looking forward greatly to return!”

He continued, “Joining us on this trek will be very special guests Failure Anthem, along with special guests Citizen Zero, Cypher 16 and Smash Into Pieces for a full evening’s worth of cutting edge metal from both sides of the Atlantic! Prepare yourself as the juggernaut known as the MAXIMALISM World Tour prepares to lay siege to YOUR city in early 2017. All shall march to the sound of MAXIMALISM!”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I still need to examine the bands brand new album, I have been a fan of Amaranthe for a few years now and have been fortunate enough to catch them in concert a few times as well so I am pretty happy about this news. There is both an energetic and engaging presence when they are on the stage and the sounds are even bigger and brighter than what we find on the albums. Trust me it’s a good time so I’m going to mark my calendar now so nothing else gets in my way when they come back to NYC. What do you readers think of this tour? Have you seen them before or are among the curious? Let me know in the comments section below.
