PiercingMetal Thoughts: While I admit to enjoying most of what “Gotham” was about since almost every episode had its resolution outside of the occasional two part storyline I must say that I am a little weary about what seems to be every single villain that Batman will eventually face being represented or showcased in their early life as well. This is not a high school where they all grew up together and followed different career paths after all. That being said it looks like a lot more of that will come with the premise of “Rise Of The Villains” that we shall see with Season Two. No offense to Jada but I don’t care if Fish Mooney comes back at all and hope that the apparent demise we saw of her actually takes. There was too much of this character across Season One and she was created for the show so I doubt if she shows up in S2 that people will be cheering “Yay Fish is back”. Develop Nygma and Cobblepot all the more since they were fantastic and don’t give us too much young Bruce Wayne as Batman before he even decides to take up the cowl. Am I wrong here? I mean I do enjoy it but had these concerns. Since so much of Batman’s mythology stems from him actually being Batman when it comes to certain villains it makes no damn sense to show us the beginnings of everyone. Let me know what you think of the show and if you are watching it still or have given up on it already. It airs at 8pm on Fox so check your local listings and timezones or set the DVR via your mobile device. That is what I did.
