3 Doors Down & Seether Unite For Summer 2015 Tour

Formed back in 1996, the band Three Doors Down became a staple of Radio Hard Rock thanks to their debut album “The Better Life” which hit the radio waves in 2000 and delivered tracks such as “Kryptonite” and “Loser”. These songs also became the staples in far too many to count cover bands sets and they remain as such to this very day. Yesterday I received some press about a summer tour that is sure going to be hot with the Rock as the band teams up with Seether. Check out the Official Press Copy below and then we can discuss a little further.

The Press Release:
Nashville, TN — 3 Doors Down has announced the band’s Summer touring plans will feature a joint run with Seether for more than a dozen dates, as well as the selection of Theory of a Deadman or Collective Soul as support in markets where Seether is not appearing. Prior to the tour, the band will be in the studio recording a new album with multi-platinum hit record producer Matt Wallace. 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold shares, “We’re excited to be heading in to the studio with Matt to make a new 3 Doors Down record! We can’t wait to get some of these new songs we’ve been playing live put to tape. This is shaping up to be our best album yet!”

The Seether run begins on July 7 in Laredo, TX. Guitarist Chris Henderson shares, “Touring with our friends in Seether is always a blast! We have quite a bit of road history together and they’ve played our annual Better Life Foundation event in the past. Looking forward to a summer full of great rock shows, and most importantly, seeing our fans!” Prior to connecting with Seether in Laredo, 3 Doors Down will make three main stage festival appearances in Detroit (5/30), Chattanooga (6/05) and Fairfax (6/06), with Theory of a Deadman then joining the band as support in Louisiana and Texas during the Fourth of July Holiday. Throughout the summer, the band is offering two VIP Experiences, one of which features on-stage bleacher seating during the band’s set..

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I will not lie to you because I think this is just one of those perfect summer tours to just kick back and have a few beers with friends in a good environment. The downside for me is that the regional show for the Metal and Rock Metropolis is way up in Bethel Woods (the home of Woodstock for all you young ones) so its a bit of a journey for me but I am surely up for a road trip with anyone who has a little room in the car. I sense some serious tail-gating going on as these bands rock us into the night in such a setting. What do you readers think? Does this particular tour interest you at all? Let’s discuss in the comments.
