All ticket purchasers will receive a limited-edition digital EP featuring acoustic performances of “Kryptonite,” “It’s Not My Time,” and “I Don’t Want To Know.” The VIP pre-sale will begin on Tuesday, October 24 via (link at the close of post) with a general on-sale to follow on Friday, October 27. The first leg will begin in Airway Heights, WA on January 16 and continue through February 11 in Detroit, MI. More dates will be announced soon.
Lead singer, Brad Arnold says “over the years we’ve always enjoyed stripping down our songs and playing them acoustic. For us as a live band it breathes new life into these songs, allows us to switch-up our set and dig really deep into our catalog. We’re looking forward to playing in some intimate venues, which we don’t often do, and being up close and personal with our fans.”
For select performances, two exclusive and limited VIP experiences will be offered. The “Sit On The Back Porch with 3DD” package will feature the ability to sit on-stage during 3 Doors Down’s entire set while listening to the bands in-ear mix through custom headphones, Meet & Greet, Photo opportunity, exclusive merch and much more. 3 DOORS DOWN: Formed in 1995, Grammy Award®-nominated multiplatinum Mississippi rock band 3 Doors Down consistently captivates audiences worldwide. The quintet’s many accolades include selling 20 million albums globally, receiving three Grammy nominations, and winning two American Music Awards, and five BMI Pop Awards for songwriting including “Songwriter of the Year.” Their debut The Better Life, became certified six-times RIAA platinum in 2000 and was fueled by the success of juggernaut hit “ Kryptonite.” This was followed by 2002’s sophomore album, Away from the Sun which went triple-platinum and saw similar success with “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You.” 2005’s platinum Seventeen Days and 2008’s 3 Doors Down each earned #1 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, while Time of My Life landed at #3 in 2011. Ignited by the single “In The Dark,” 3 Doors Down unleashed their sixth full-length album, Us and the Night, which debuted top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 in 2016.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Despite my doing my best to keep up on the bands of the 90’s Alternative Rock times, I never really followed 3 Doors Down outside the few hits that were always on the radio or being blasted at me in bars where cover band after cover band tried their best at their renditions. Sometimes they succeeded and at other times, they really did not but I digress. With this disclosure I should say that I’ve not yet seen the band but with them still doing shows its one I’d like to cross off my list. Sadly this run isn’t coming anywhere near me so I’ll have to hope for something closer being added as they determine additional dates. Are you a fan of the band? Will you be seeing this one? Let me know what you think down in the comments section. Until next time.
