20th Century Fox’s “The New Mutants” Teaser Trailer

Though a lot of us fans out there wish that the X-Men family of characters were back in the hands of Marvel Studios, one has to agree that the people at 20th Century Fox have succeeded without a doubt with the films “Deadpool” and “Logan”. Each of those were rated “R” and pulled out all the stops that one would expect in such a film and heck, even “X-Men: Age Of Apocalypse” was not too bad. The next film in the franchise comes with “The New Mutants” and the first trailer was released a few days ago. Check it out.

The Premise: Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves. (thanks Wiki)

The Cast/Characters:
Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin/Magik
Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane
Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie/Cannonball
Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa/Sunspot
Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar/Mirage
Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I’m not sure about how much I like the idea of “The New Mutants” being a bit of a Horror film, I am surprisingly intrigued about their taking this route. I enjoyed the original cast of characters in the comic book that I purchased so very long ago and think that it will be cool to see them fleshed out on the big screen. Fox did a pretty great job with “Logan” and if you have not seen that one yet I say get to purchasing the DVD release, or the Blu-ray since that is what we did. This film comes out in April of 2018 so I am thinking that a longer and more in-depth trailer will be coming eventually. When that happens you can count on my sharing it here. Until then you can let me know what you think about this one down below.
