20th Century Fox: “Dark Phoenix” TV Spots (Coming 6/7/2019)

When we got the second trailer for “Dark Phoenix” back in February (as seen HERE), I have to admit that it feels like a forever ago because time has been zipping by us and let’s face it – The World of Geekdom is counting down the days until the release of Marvel Studios “Avengers: Endgame” as that is the culmination of some 21 films that preceded it. Now, “Dark Phoenix” is purported to be the final in the series of 20th Century Fox X-Men films because the rights are now again under Marvel Studios control with Disney owning Fox in full. While I anticipate a few more trailers, when it comes to the assorted “TV Spots” I decided to cull them all together here. At the time of this posting, there has only been one but sometimes we see quite a few very short teases to the film hitting the networks. As I notice a new clip, I will add it down below the Official Teaser Poster and mark the date and title for good measure. The full length trailers will keep getting a post of their own so you might want to bookmark this post until the film comes out so you don’t miss any TV Spots. Here we go.

The Premise: After the events of X-Men: Apocalypse, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite – not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m not going to add much to the mix here since I don’t know how many clips will be getting added to this post at the moment. The clips for this one do look good and I am going to be hopeful that its better than “X-Men: Apocalypse” since that one was NOT a favorite. Going forward I cannot wait to find the X-Men and the Fantastic Four as a part of the MCU and these will likely follow “Avengers: Endgame” in the not-too distant future. Speaking of that big sure to be blockbuster film, if you’ve not been keeping up with my posts about it just click HERE to open them all up on a brand new tab. Remember that “Dark Phoenix” will open in June. See you next time.
