The Statement:

The 24th annual BIG APPLE COMIC CON, set to take place April 4-5 this year is postponed in light of the current Coronavirus pandemic. There isn’t a timetable for rescheduling the event yet, given the developing state of the national emergency.

We will continue to monitor the situation and are working with our exhibitors, artists, and the New Yorker Hotel to find a future date, and the best way forward. Needless to say, we are terribly saddened that we are unable to hold this event for our exhibitors, guests, fans and supporters. But we know it’s the right decision based on the tremendous global threat facing us today.

We pray that this pandemic will pass without great loss of life, that it will increase our collective sense of solidarity, respect, and our commitment to each other, making our common bonds and commonwealth stronger and more democratic.

Please stay safe, wash our hands continuously, and never loose the love we have for each other and our community.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: The cancellations just keep coming. I always enjoy this particular event since I know a lot of the artists and vendors who are regularly in attendance and its fun to see what they are currently up to. As with all the other event postponements I will be keeping pace on any reschedulings so you can adjust your own event planner. Stay tuned and as their message notes, stay healthy.
