“Killfest” was in NYC and while the guys in Overkill originally hail from New Jersey, it’s pretty safe to call them one of New York’s most popular bands as well.  Tonight the band would be bringing their traveling Metal circus to the Nokia Theatre in Times Square and as the night progressed we would learn that the Metal was not the only excitement brewing in the city that evening.  The show itself featured Woe Of Tyrants, Evile, Warbringer, God Dethroned and Vader as support for the band and WOW, was that a lineup to sink one’s teeth into.  Click the bands logo below to be taken to the complete concert article on the main PiercingMetal.com site.

There are few bands that mean business as much as the guys in Vader do and when the band embarked on their “Monsters Of Death” tour with Decrepit Birth, Warbringer, The Amenta, Augury and Rose Funeral you knew it was a night to be reckoned with.  The scene of the show would be at The Gramercy Theatre and we caught as much of the show as was possible.  You can learn more by clicking the logo below as it will take you to the item on the main PiercingMetal.com site.

They were calling this event the “Summer Slaughter Tour” and it was most certainly that since it found a headlining Black Dahlia Murder supported by the likes of Vader, Kataklysm, & Cryptopsy. The whole affair also featured the might of The Aborted, Whitechapel, The Faceless, Despised Icon and Psycroptic and that was enough to find us at the ready with camera in hand. A massive Metal undertaking like this was bound to be following strict time slots and we can see that lined out in the next graphic.  It was pretty close to accurate barring one or two issues.

Drummer Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) is one of the top skin bashers in Metal’s legions, we caught him warming up on some practice pads just before he was set to go on and keep fans jaws dropped open with his technical expertise.

Kreator is in my opinion, the top tier of the main German Thrash Metal bands. Tonight they would bring this crushing sound to the B.B. King Blues Club venue with Vader along for the ride.
