The Scoop: Fear Factory are clearly the leaders in the cause for Industrial Metal enlightenment and for many years they have rallied the fans with exciting show after exciting show. For their 2013 tour the band has decided to perform their “Demanufacture” album in its entirety and to up the ante they are bringing along both Hate Eternal (as direct support) and new Metal greatness in Kobra and The Lotus. The Details: The band Crashdiet are the Kings of Swedish Sleaze Rock and after their successful show in NYC last summer, you knew that they would be coming back soon. That time has arrived and the “Arockalypse” is upon us for sure as the band returns to NYC for a show at the Gramercy Theatre along with Crucified Barbara, Pui, Wildstreet, Nasty Habit and Snakeskyn Whiskey. Whew, you will surely be getting the maximum Sleaze/Glam Metal bang for your buck at this one. The Details: Udo Dirkschneider is the original voice behind the classic tunes of the mighty Accept and it’s been a long time since he’s rocked and rolled in the USA. It’s been so long a time that even I don’t remember when it was that I saw him last but since then he’s moved on to a prolifically busy solo career and is bringing us a sure to be rocking show. He’ll be bringing along Halcyon Way for direct support and NYC will have local Metal flavor from Winter Nights. The Details: The 80’s were a magical, mystifying and somewhat maddening musical time and while I was forged in the fires of Metal for most of my life, I have a super appreciation for so many songs from this amazing era. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I loved counting my “99 Red Balloons” with Nena, or even “Turning Japanese” with The Vapors in my own “Private Idaho” courtesy of the B-52′s and additional help from Billy Idol, The Fixx and so many more, Great stuff for sure. Now one of the best bands that is bringing these sounds into the now are the guys and gals of Rubix Kube who will be performing once again at the Gramercy Theatre and this is sure to be a blast if you can take last time as an example. Thanks to the fine folks at Livenation, PiercingMetal is going to put some fans into this sure to be rocking show so get your wild colors on and don’t forget to wear your sunglasses at night as this show brings all these great classics to life once more. This show will feature Skid Row’s Rob Affuso as their special guest and who knows who else might happen by.

The Scoop: Emile Autumn is one of the most interesting performers that I have seen in years. Her shows are a little bit Broadway, a little bit cabaret and a whole lot of wow what are they going to do next up there. She also plays an amazing violin and offers up a super sexy presentation by Veronica Varlow. Her company of players are as unique as they come and her audience a bunch of stylishly dressed “Plague Rats”; The last tour she called upon the “Opheliac” in each of us and now she challenges you to “Fight Like A Girl” in honor of her latest album. It’s a show you don’t soon forget and that makes me happy to announce that thanks to the folks at Livenation, a couple of our readers will get to enjoy this grand presentation for free. Dig it.

The Details: In the annals of Hardcore music history, there are few bands who are as influential and as cited as The Dead Kennedys. They were formed in 1978 and quickly became kings of the underground movement for the growing scene. For years they were fronted by the enigmatic presence of Jello Biafra but he has long been out of the lineup which leaves only East Bay Ray, Klaus Floride, D.H. Peligro as the band with Ron “Skip” Greer on vocals.
