Tonight’s show was a last minute adventure for me, and actually scheduled into my itinerary when something else on my agenda got screwed up and found me with a free night as result.   The good thing about this particular mishap was that it happened in New York City and when you do band photography and music journalism you can often find something else to do in about ten minutes.  With the free night on my hands I decided to check out something that I had never followed before and that was the Alternative Rock band Cold.  I did know their song “Suffocate” since it was all over the stations that still were playing Hard Rock but beyond that I was a newbie.  Their openers for the show would be Egypt Central, Kopek and an unsigned band.  They called this event the “Tour Of The American Dream” and while it was not quite Metal for me, would still continue on in my listings of “March Metal Madness” gigs.  To check out the full concert report and enjoy photos of all the bands just click the logo below to be taken to the main PiercingMetal.com website.

"COLD"

Here’s a shot of the venue marquee as it proudly displayed the bands name.  There was a decent line to get in when I arrived which was nice to see.  I guess I was only one of a handful of newbies walking in the venue this evening.

A Cold Night In NYC

Here’s a few side images of the merchandise and some other observations that I captured this evening. I will start with the main band’s table. Check out these cool shirts.

Here’s some of the stuff from Egypt Central. The band also had a VIP pass for some fans which gave them a meet and greet with the band along with some other stuff. Sweet huh?
